Thanks to Marc for sending me a copy of his book in return for an honest review.
There is a honesty here, a gentle honesty. Nothing too shocking. But you do find yourself nodding along, smiling and agreeing whole-heartedly – and I’m not even married!
It’s hard to say for definite if it’s a fiction or a non-fiction, or somewhere in between, but it works either way.
For me, it wasn’t laugh-out-loud funny, more of a genteel respect and amusement. Whilst I did enjoy it and thought it was a pleasant read, I think perhaps it would be more appreciated by those or are or have been married as they could identify with it more.
I like that it’s only 99 pages long. I’ve said before I have a bit of an issue with really long books that have no need to be that long. This is the perfect size to slip into your bag and take out with you; long enough to get your teeth into, but short enough that you can read it in one sitting.
